Something curly....

...and something special for the upcoming Vintage Fair; "Nouveau Leaves". A new jewellery range that I've been working on for awhile, which is very very inspired by beautiful Art Nouveau jewellery I saw while visiting Paris's Musee des Arts Decoratifs last year. Swirly leafy designs have been bouncing about in my head, waiting to be sculpted and finally purged!

These would be made from opalescent glass and metal if it weren't for their virtual state.

A jewellery set comprised of neckpiece, earrings and bracelet...

A pair of dress rings...

A barette for your hair, which can be worn on the side or rear of the head, depending on your hairstyle. this also includes a brooch version which sits on the chest. But add it to anything you might like, of course.

And finally, a tiara...

All pieces are texture and colour changeable, with a really flexible set of options. Each set can be menu driven, but also comes with a hud. One hud will control each piece worn, to save you work. It's nigh impossible to show all the combinations possible, but I think you will have fun making your own styles to match your outfits.

These are all copiable, and modifiable, so you can save your favourites and delete scripts.

Make a set for exploring dark gothic crypts...and then one for your fairytale white wedding, and then anything imaginable in between.

The 2012 Vintage Fair will be held from Aug 3rd to Aug 29th, and all Eclectica Nouveau Leaves sets (and demos) will be exclusively available there during the event.

One Voice

If you have been following any Virtual fashion news for the last few months, you may be aware of the One Voice Fundraiser. This is to help Gala Phoenix, the talented Curio skin designer, to fight the theft of her work. Content theft happens all too often, sadly, but this case is extra insidious. The thief not only has stolen the skins of Curio (and others) but also had the gall to copyright Galas work as her own. Better bloggers than me have the story covered much more thoroughly than I'm able to. Check out this SLU thread if you are interested, or if that's too wordy (it is starting to get pretty long winded, yet has a lot of good information in there) you may find these images of interest.
This is me, barefoot and ao-less, as there are necessary limits on scripts allowed on the sim, so whip yours off before you try to tp in...but I'm still able to say yay for everyones efforts here. I have a few Eclectica items at One Voice, and in the Mainstore if you just are passing. The items below are 100% donation to the fund....
And I happily realised that all skins and hairs used in these vendor textures are from Curio. That feels nicely fitting. :)

All the better to see you with...

Glasses are getting a makeover here at the store. These are a smart way to add some 50's pizzazz to tired morning eyes, and can be played with to get the almost exact colourings you might need. In fact you might fiddle about with them and end up late, as they have heaps of texture and colour combinations. One has Rhinestones, and one has Scrolls & Pearls.
Above are just some of the combinations you can make. But there are too many to picture, and I forgot to include some of my personal favourites. Both glasses are copy/mod. No transfer though, so please use the Marketplace for gifting, or call me. My IM number is "Tiffy Vella". Easy, as if I'm offline, your message will still get through, and I may even be able to answer you despite not even being in SL :)
Also, in the Eclectica glasses department, old favourites have been updated at last....these ones....which I made a few years back...and despite them still being enjoyed by customers, they were overdue an overhaul.
Changes are....replacement of old 'one-script-per-prim' system with new parent-prim-only scripts. Now much less script memory is used. Textures have been improved and added to, and the primwork behind the ears is now more realistic. Also, I have brought the old glasses into line with the rest of the Eclectica products, and made them copy/mod/no trans. So you can have full moddability of the prims. (Scripts are still no-mod however.) If you own an old pair of Eclectica glasses, please contact me for a replacement. I am more than happy to do so, if you can show yourself wearing a pair, I'll replace your oldies with some newies. (Sorry, I have no automatic update system, but will do my best.)

Vintage Barette

Flipping through the SL forums, which I like to do sometimes over morning coffee, I saw a post by Miele Tarantal who said she wanted some barettes, and popped up a couple of photos that I just loved. Yes (I thought) I'd quite like some of those too, to go in my hair, and to be added to hats, or belts, or in fact wherever they could possibly be stuck. (Isn't "add" an excellent feature for fashion lovers) So just for fun, I whipped some up....

The barettes are made from curly sculpted metalwork, gems and pearls. Well, really pixels, but we like to pretend. It's fortunate that pixel vintage diamantes don't cost as much as genuine estate jewellery, or even diamonds come to think of it. I charge exactly the same for fake virtual precious stones as I do for the real virtual ones. That's a bargain, really. Or not- I can't quite work that out.

Alchemy Cyannis made the other nice bits and bobs seen in the photos above. I love her work, and always have admired her. Nice person :)

These are copy/mod. They have a single removable resize script. There are two versions....gold and silver. The texturing is simple, but designed so that you can add your individual flair through tinting. Just "edit linked parts" and add a bit of colour where you want it.

There are two in each pack. They attach to the mouth attachment point, but with "add" that isn't so important anymore, thank goodness. One sits at the back of the head, to hold a formal updo. One sits to the side, as a hairclip style. I have modelled it on a Curio Gertrude hair, which I wear a lot.

I know that you will want to play with this a bit, as it has a lot of possibilities. Also, I can't predict your hairstyle, so know that you might need to adjust size and positioning quite a bit. The barettes are gently curving, to fit against the curve of hair or hat. They might even make a gorgeous brooch. The flexibility is there in the perms to help you be creative.

They are soon to be available at the Eclectica Mainstore in Sinaburoe and the Marketplace, which is good for sending gifts to your loved ones and alts (and alts' loved ones....snort). A demo pack can be found instore in Sinaburoe to help you decide.

Ozone

In my world, every self-respecting seaside town sports an "Ozone Hotel".

OK, at a pinch, I might deign to accept an "Austral", "Commercial", "Crown", "Empire", or even a modest "Grand Central", but "Ozone" is the most glam for seaside vintage bliss.

I made a hat for this, just because it's fun, and what I like, and that's good enough, perhaps :) It has a feel I like...it has hair...has scarves with cute vintage textures...is big and floppy....is made of all recycled pixels (hah I lie about that bit; it's all fresh new pixels going straight to landfill, snort)

The Ozone sunhat is copy/mod. It's got great low-lag removable scripting to let you happily change hat textures, scarf textures, and hair colours.

As you can see, there are four. They are combos of patterns, and also combos of hairstyles. All hair is included, and you can choose between a bob or a long plait down the back.

Because they are mod, remove the hair if it's not your thing and wear the hat with your own. Easy.

All hats have the basic 5 hair textures, ranging from blonde to black, but you can add a tint via the edit menu to anything to get the look you need. There are demos available instore to help you, so please try them. If you have any issue colour matching, contact me, as I'd like to get it right for you.

Also, I go in a Hunt once a year, so this is my third. This year's begins in about 2 days, and it's a fresh new one called the "You Go To My Head" hat hunt. It's all hats, and what great timing :)

And here's my hat for the hunt....it's a nice hunt gift to introduce you to the range, as it's almost as lovely, just doesn't have all the scripted features...

I hope you all pop by to visit...just here. If you are hat fans, wander about, as so am I.

Coquette....

Introducing "Coquette"...beautiful and very adaptable shoes

Each satin shoe comes in a basic colour, with three extra satin options to extend the possibilities. So each is more than one plain shoe.

They are hud-controlled, to help you get them just right. Use this to make your selection of shoe-texture, metal texture (gold or silver), nail colour and shine, and most importantly skin texture and tint.

Resizing can also be handled by hud. Or edit menu if you like to do it the old-fashioned way :P

"Coquette" shoes are copiable and modifiable (no-mod scripts), so you can adapt them to whatever look you may need. Pop a customised copy into your outfit folders, and then safely delete the scripts.

See- I am still plying Eccy with free shoes (and cups of tea), but she's not so messy these days.

"Coquette" is available in four choices. Black...with variations....

Crimson...with variations...

Ivory...with variations...

And soft multi-coloured floral satins because I just like them so much...

Demos are available instore. Find them at Eclectica, Sinaburoe. Or the Marketplace.

Fashion For Life

I'm there...and busy doing all those last minute things that need doing as it opens very very soon. And it's a very worthy cause.

I popped by to see Eclectica's location, and was extremely happy to find Troy Vogel's vision in Volta. It suits me. It really clicks.

My store just slid right in so happily it was eerie :)

Eclectica is in the hunt, so if you join in, you'll find me at some stage. I have a unique version of the Vintage Dress Ring as a prize.

Plus there are some very worthwhile donation vendors instore, raising funds for cancer research. And a gacha gacha. And a raffle.

And two new Eclectica releases are debuting at Fashion for Life. More on those later :)
